The Solution
Stock The Rooms!
Founded after...
Stock the Rooms is a youth lead initiative to stock all restroom with menstrual products. Our founder, Hamsika Thumu, was made aware of the issue of menstrual inequity with a life of inaccessibility to menstrual products in public spaces. Understanding that menstrual products are just as necessary as toilet paper, she decided that there needed to be change. We created a project to address this issue and bring accessibility to all people.

We Were founded for 3 main goals
1. Partner with companies and teach them how to stock free menstrual products in their restrooms. This includes calculating the upfront cost for one month and guiding companies through the process of stocking their restrooms.

2. Gather donations and provide menstrual products in underserved communities. This includes gathering monetary and physical donations through school drives and donating these menstrual products abroad to women and girls in India.

3. Educate. Menstrual inequity effects women more than just discomfort, it can cause women to miss class and skip work for days on end. Providing accurate menstrual hygiene information and educating individuals on the menstrual inequity across the globe is necessary to solving the issue of period poverty.
